This is one of the challenging hiking trail in the bay area. Rising steeply to the east behind the city of Fremont, Mission peaks forms a dramatic backdrop to the South bay.

The views are great from the top of the peak. You can get a good view of Mt Tamalpais to the north, Santa Cruz mountains to the west and Mt Diablo and Sierra Nevada to the northeast.

About three to four hours are needed to reach the summit and return. The trail head is accessible from Stanford avenue in Fremont. There are a total of 29 miles of hiking and riding trails in the Ohlone wilderness.
