About 40kms southwest of Johor Bahru on the Straits of Melaka, across from Sumatra is the fishing village of Kukup. The village is famous for its seafood restaurants, most of which are built on slits over the water. Singaporeans who are obsessed with the loss of their own Kampung life flock to this village in the weekend.
