Japan Town, San
Francisco
9, Feb 2008
Japan town in San Francisco
is on Webster and Geary Blvd. It occupies 2 blocks. It's a
short taxi ride or you can take bus no.38 from Union square.
This place has a very Japanese character to it. Here you
will discover scores of wonderful restaurants, sushi bars
and karaoke lounges, shops with a fascinating array of
merchandise from Japan. They also have a Japanese
supermarket packed with food products from Japan.
Another interesting place in Japan town is the Kinokuniya
bookstores. The only Japanese book store in bay area. The
Cherry blossom festival is celebrated here every year in the
month of March.

Chinese New Year Parade San
Francisco, 2008
23, Feb 2008
To all those people who want
to check out the Chinese new year parade in San Francisco
its happening on 23rd Feb 2008 from 5.30pm onwards. You can
catch the parade on Market street or at Geary. If you don't
want to brave the cold streets of San Francisco then sit
back and tune to KTVU Fox 2 and watch the parade live. I
will be personal there to take some pictures of the parade
and check out the floats. Interesting fact about this parade
is this is the largest celebration of Asian culture outside
Asia.
